• Paper Released at U.S.-India Higher Education Dialog
  

  "The U.S. Community College Model: Potential for Applications in India" looks at opportunities for community colleges to build skills to help meet the workforce needs of local communities in India.

• Goldberg IIE Prize for Peace in the Middle East
  Eli Beer and Murad Alyan of United Hatzalah of Israel awarded the Goldberg IIE Prize for bringing Jewish and Arab volunteers together to provide immediate emergency services to all people.
• IIE Leads U.S. - Indonesia Higher Ed Consortium
  Twelve higher ed institutions in the U.S. and Indonesia, in partnership with IIE, launch a new USIPP Consortium.
• IIE President at Susquehanna Commencement
  Dr. Allan Goodman delivered the address at Susquehanna University's commencement ceremony, during which graduates wore sashes representing countries in which they studied.
• Higher Education Readiness Program
  IIE announced that it has selected the first 100 students to take part in a new pilot program to provide girls in Ethiopia with pathways to university.
• IIE Report: Rebuilding Higher Education in Myanmar
  IIE has published a new briefing paper based on the historic U.S. higher education delegation, to help guide donors and the higher education community in engaging with higher education in Myanmar.
• Gilman Partners with Shawn Carter Foundation
  

  Four inaugural Shawn Carter Foundation-Gilman International Scholarships have been awarded for the spring 2013 semester to support study abroad scholarships for U.S. undergraduate students with financial need.
