What is ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa Scholars Program?

The ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa Scholars Program is a highly competitive scholarship program which provides select student leaders from the Middle East and North Africa with a fully-funded scholarship towards the completion of a degree at a college or university in the United States.

The ExxonMobil Middle East and North Africa  Scholars Program offers scholarship opportunities to pursue a Master’s degree in geoscience for students who have at least a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, computer science, engineering, geography, geoscience, mathematics or physics. A limited number of Engineering and MBA scholarships will be available. NOTE: All MBA candidates must have a science, math or engineering background. Award Benefits

Recipients of the Middle Eastern Scholars Program receive:

  • Full graduate tuition to attend a U.S. university
  • Visa and academic support
  • Housing and living expenses while in the U.S.
  • Transportation to the U.S. at the beginning of the program and return to home country at the completion of the program
  • Pre-academic training
  • Medical insurance while in the U.S.

Application Timeline

  • The application cycle in ongoing, with two selection processes per year. The third application cycle will be open from May 15 - October 15, 2009

  • The selection process will take place from January- February 2010. Academic instruction will begin in August 2010 through the completion of a Master's degree.
