OPENING MINDS CORPORATE LEADERSHIP AWARD. ExxonMobil. ExxonMobil's Chairman & CEO Rex Tillerson will accept the award on behalf of the company. IIE is honoring ExxonMobil in 2009 in recognition of the
company's exemplary leadership and outstanding commitment to education and corporate social responsibility
around the globe.
About the Award:
The Opening Minds Corporate Leadership Award recognizes corporations whose business activities promote international understanding and improve the lives of people in the communities in which they work. Past
honorees include: Klaus Kleinfeld and Alcoa (2008); Martin Sullivan and AIG (2007); James Press and Toyota
(2006); Henry M. Paulson, Jr. and Goldman Sachs (2005); and, Jeffrey Immelt and GE (2004).
Honoree:
IIE WOMEN'S GLOBAL LEADERSHIP AWARD. Laya Khadjavi, Roya Khadjavi-Heidari and Nazgol Saati Shahbazi. IIE is honoring Laya Khadjavi, Roya Khadjavi-Heidari and Nazgol Saati Shahbazi for their dedicated
philanthropy. This includes the seminal role that they have played in launching the Iran Opportunities Fund, an
effort to involve the Iranian community in the U.S. in improving cultural and educational relations between Iran and
the United States.
About the Award:
The Women's Global Leadership Award recognizes distinguished and enduring lifetime contributions made by women to international cooperation and to the advancement of "Opening Minds to the World" through international
educational exchange.
Honoree:
FRITZ REDLICH ALUMNI AWARD. Maestro Lorin Maazel.
IIE will honor Maestro Lorin Maazel in honor of his distinguished career as a Fulbright alumnus and as an artist,
composer, and educator.

The Fritz Redlich Alumni Award recognizes alumni of IIE and IIE-administered programs who contribute innovative ideas, valuable knowledge and dedication to the cause of mutual understanding and international cooperation.
