Program Themes and Objectives

The program in Saudi Arabia will focus on four major themes:

• Education


• Science and Technology


• History


• Culture and Society

The Educators to Saudi Arabia Program, administered by the Institute of International Education, provides U.S. teachers with an opportunity to learn more about Saudi Arabia and to enhance their ability to teach about the country and its people. To achieve this objective, the U.S. educators selected for the program will:

• Visit a number of Saudi schools and have opportunities to interact with Saudi teachers and students;



• Tour some of Saudi Arabia's most important historical, cultural, and industrial sites;



• Observe and participate in Saudi cultural events and performances; and



• Gain first-hand knowledge of Saudi Arabia that will enable them to create new, innovative, and effective teaching tools for their students, colleagues, and community members.
