Henrik N. Vanderlip is Chairman of Viking Capital Partners, Inc. based in Stamford, CT, which he formed in April 1993. Viking Capital is a private investment firm which has led investments in such companies as The Moorings Yacht Charters, Rocky Mountain Radio, Radio One Networks, Action Sports Group and Bear Naked Granola. He is a former partner of Wesray Capital Corporation. Wesray was a private investment firm, which led management leveraged acquisitions such as Avis Rent A Car, Outlet Communications, Six Flags Amusement Parks and Wilson Sporting Goods. Prior to joining Wesray, Mr. Vanderlip was Senior Vice President of Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb where he headed the Private Placement Department. He has over thirty years experience in investment banking, leveraged buyouts and venture capital investments. Henrik has held numerous corporate directorships including Avis, Inc., Six Flags Inc., and The Moorings, LLC and is currently on the Board of Vantage ILM LLC and Next Gen Ventures. He has served as Trustee of several non-profit organizations including New York Downtown Hospital, Greenwich Hospital and the Greenwich Historical Society and currently serves as Trustee of the Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich of which he is Treasurer, the Greenwich Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Kent School. Mr. Vanderlip received his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Mr. Vanderlip has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Education since 1989. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Investment Committee and Treasurer of the Board.
