Jaye Chen

Jaye Chen is the Institute’s Vice President and General Counsel and Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees. She advises the Institute on all legal matters related to its world-wide operations, including U.S. and foreign legal compliance, corporate governance matters, complex negotiations with government and private sponsors, contracting review, employment/labor matters, non-immigrant visa sponsorship matters and general litigation matters.

Prior to joining IIE in 2003 as General Counsel, Ms. Chen was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. She served as law clerk for the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Chen holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and an A.B. in History and Literature from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges.
