Joan Wall

Joan Wall, Deputy Vice President, Human Resources and Board Secretary, oversees the Institute’s worldwide Human Resources function in addition to serving as Board Secretary, providing support to the Board of Trustees and its various committees.

Ms. Wall is responsible for the design, implementation and administration of global Human Resources strategies and programs.  She has developed innovative total compensation, leadership development, performance management, and staff development programs to attract and retain, motivate and monitor the productivity of a highly effective work force.

Ms. Wall joined IIE in 1979 as Assistant Director of Human Resources. She was promoted to Director, Human Resources in 1986. She assumed the role of Board Secretary and has served in her current position since 2003.  Prior to joining IIE, Ms. Wall held Human Resources management positions with Sperry Corporation and Citibank. Ms. Wall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and attended Cornell University’s Master of Science Labor and Industrial Relations program.
