Mark D. Moyer
The Institute of International Education announces the appointment of Mark D. Moyer as Chief Financial Officer. Mark joined IIE on October 1st, 2008 having previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Ziff-Davis Media Inc. since 2005, and formerly having served as Vice President and Controller from 1995 - 2000 for its predecessor. Commenting on the appointment Dr. Allan Goodman, IIE's President and Chief Executive Officer, stated "Mark's track record of building scalable and effective global financial control environments will enable IIE to efficiently achieve our growth plans."
Mark's career began with Ernst & Young LLP in Dallas, TX. From there, he moved to New York, where he held financial management positions with Amax Inc. and ITT Corporation. After leaving Ziff Davis in 2000, he went on to gain international experience working in London for Equant N.V., first as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer then as Senior Vice President, Financial Operations, where he was responsible for global accounting operations in approximately 100 countries. Upon Equant's acquisition by France Telecom, Mark returned to the States and was appointed Senior Vice President and Controller for Intelsat, Ltd. in Washington, D.C. After supporting the newly privatized company's successful private equity transaction and public debt financing, Mark returned to Ziff Davis.
Mark is a Certified Public Accountant who holds a B.B.A in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University.
