Executive Vice President
Sears Holdings Corporation
Scott Freidheim is executive vice president, operating and support businesses for Sears Holdings Corporation. Freidheim also serves on the Holdings Company Business Unit board.
Sears Holdings was created in connection with the merger of Kmart Holding Corporation and Sears, Roebuck and Co., which was completed on March 24, 2005. The company generates approximately $47 billion in annual revenues and includes approximately 3,900 full-line and specialty retail stores, and related service businesses in the United States and Canada.
Before joining Sears Holdings, Freidheim worked for Lehman Brothers for over 17 years, where he most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer and EVP, with oversight of the company’s corporate division. Over the years, he held officer positions in the investment banking, private equity and corporate divisions.
Freidheim is actively involved with the Institute of International Education (IIE, which administers programs including the Fulbright Scholarships), where he is a member of the Board of Trustees. Additionally, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council and Forum of Young Global Leaders, a member of the Executive Advisory Board of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, a member of Young Presidents’ Organization and a member of the Economic Club of New York.
Freidheim graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in Economics and Management. He also received his MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
