Pulitzer Prize Pulitzer Prize

As foreign correspondents, editors, musicians, poets, and novelists, distinguished alumni of IIE-administered programs have exposed people to countries they have never visited, lifestyles they could not imagine, and new ideas. As a direct result, people across the U.S. and around the world have gained a greater appreciation and understanding of the world outside their own community, from the shadows of apartheid in South Africa to U.S.-Mexico border relations. For their innovative work, so much a product of their own experiences in other countries and cultures, IIE recognizes the former grantees listed below who have won the Pulitzer Prize.
