IIE partners with corporations and corporate foundations to design and implement a wide variety of programs focused on developing future professionals and leaders with global competency by providing them with the international experience and cross-cultural tools to succeed in the 21st century. IIE works in close collaboration with corporate partners to custom-tailor programs and services to meet specific corporate needs and philanthropic objectives.
Among an array of IIE Corporate Services are Scholarship Awards Programs. For example, several initiatives identify and nurture outstanding students from key countries and fields of study, and bring them together periodically for networking and leadership development activities. Other corporate award programs concentrate on facilitating international exchange opportunities for students currently underrepresented in international education, such as women and minority engineering students.
IIE also provides corporate partners with human resource services designed to attract, retain, and train international employees. IIE's Global Careers Service and Corporate Locator Reports, help corporations to find and enlist exceptionally talented individuals who are able to think and work on a global basis. Children of Employee (COE) Scholarship Programs, which are a proven, cost-effective way for companies to retain international staff and enhance organizational image. Intercultural Management Services assist corporations to provide cultural orientation and language training to employees prior to overseas assignments. English Training programs provide international employees with the presentation, public-speaking, and negotiation skills to succeed in a business environment. IIE's newest corporate service is Global Leadership Training, which helps companies prepare managers to lead organizational change in a global environment.
