State Alumni Website
All Gilman Scholars are encouraged to join the State Alumni online community. State Alumni is a secure, password protected website that offers alumni of U.S. government exchange programs an exciting opportunity to continue the exchange experience after returning home! In this online community, alumni can network with each other and take advantage of the many features the website has to offer which include: grant opportunities, job postings, alumni resumes, discussion forums, an online academic research journal database, and Q&A Live with distinguished guests.

Further Opportunities Abroad
U.S. Student Fulbright Program - Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Program is the largest U.S. international exchange program offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide.
Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowships - The Thomas R. Pickering Graduate & Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship programs provide funding to participants as they are prepared academically and professionally to enter the United States Department of State Foreign Service. Women, members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply.
Rhodes Scholarships - The Rhodes Scholarships, the oldest international fellowships, were initiated after the death of Cecil Rhodes in 1902, and bring outstanding students from many countries around the world to the University of Oxford.
Marshall Scholarships - Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to forty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.
