Second Annual Goldberg IIE Prize Recognizes Ibrahim Abu Shindi and Hadas Kaplan as an Innovative Arab-Jewish Team Working Together To Advance Peace in the Middle East

At a reception in Tel Aviv-Yaffo on June 22, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Richard Jones and IIE President Allan Goodman presented the second annual Victor J. Goldberg IIE Prize for Peace in the Middle East to the co-founders of the Arab-Jewish Community Center in Yaffo. Pictured are: Institute of International Education President Allan E. Goodman, AJCC co-founder Ibrahim Abu Shindi, Ambassador Jones, IIE Trustee Victor J. Goldberg, and AJCC co-founder Hadas Kaplan. The award recognizes Mr. Abu Shindi and Ms. Kaplan's pioneering work in creating an innovative and sustainable community organization that works to promote inter-cultural dialogue, co-existence, and community empowerment in its mixed Jewish and Arab Israeli neighborhood.
