Peace Prize

Helena Kane Finn, public affairs counselor of the American Embassy, stands between professors Sami Adwan (left) and Dan Bar-On following their acceptance of the inaugural Victor J. Goldberg IIE Prize for Peace in the Middle East.  The award was granted by the Institute of International Education, and presented by United States Ambassador Daniel Kurtzer at the American Center in Jerusalem.  The Prize honors Bar-On and Adwan's project, "Learning Each Other's Historical Narrative", which engages Israeli and Palestinian teachers and teenagers in a study of eachother's histories.
