What role does IIE Bangkok play?
IIE's Southeast Asia regional center, based in Bangkok, Thailand, was opened in 1962 as IIE's first office in Asia. The Bangkok office provides educational programming and serves as an EducationUSA advising center, offering a wide range of advising and testing services to local students, advisors, and educators with the support of the U.S. Department of State. The office represents the Educational Testing Service (ETS) with the TOEFL program and administers a number of scholarship programs.

IIE Southeast Asia is a certified test center of ETS and Prometric for various standardized tests including TOEFL, GRE, USMLE, MCAT, PMI, etc.
The Institute of International Education has been organizing fairs since 1982. The Universities Fairs provide a unique opportunity for U.S. Institutions to connect with international students. Last fall IIE hosted its U.S. Higher Education Fairs in 14 cities throughout Asia and India.
