On behalf of EducationUSA, a U.S. Department of State program, IIE Latin America hosts the Regional Educational Advising Coordinator (REAC) for North America (Mexico & Canada), Central America and the Caribbean, one of the 14 REACs worldwide.

The REAC, in partnership with the Educational Information and Resources Branch, provides leadership and expertise in educational advising issues to 44 EducationUSA advising centers, Public Affairs Sections and Consular Sections at US embassies in over 28 countries in North America, Central America and the Caribbean. REACs work directly with EducationUSA advisers on increasing the dissemination of information on U.S. educational opportunities, trends in international educational exchange, and technical and specialized assistance to improve advising services.
