Since 2009 Amy has administered and supported IIE San Francisco’s global scholarship and professional exchange programs. Amy reaches out to over 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students in 50 countries annually to promote study abroad opportunities and access higher education globally. Amy’s experience also includes grantee management; program evaluation; coordinating community events, including presentations at various study abroad affairs conferences and campus visits; recruiting selection panelists; and establishing and facilitating independent scholarship review boards

Amy holds a B.A. in Political Studies and Latin American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington. She also studied abroad at the Universidad de Concepción in Chile. After college she traveled throughout East, Southeast, and South Asia, and worked at an organic rice farm and micro-sake brewery in Western Japan, studying traditional as well as innovative techniques in sake production.  She is also proficient in Spanish and basic Indonesian.
