The Avery Dennison Foundation InvEnt Scholarship

The InvEnt (Invention + Entrepreneurship) Scholarship Program is designed to recognize and reward invention, innovation, entrepreneurship and excellence in high-achieving students studying in the fields of science and technology at selected institutions in China. The Program was developed to encourage students to continue in these fields after graduation by helping them meet their financial needs during the period of their university attendance. The scholarship is primarily merit-based. Selected students will receive a $1,300 USD scholarship to be used in their second year of study, with possible renewal for two additional years.

These scholarship awards are part of a unique and prestigious program offered by the Avery Dennison Foundation to inspire the spirit of invention among university students. In addition to receiving scholarships, awardees will be honored at an awards ceremony. The day after the awards ceremony, scholarship recipients will attend a special workshop on invention. Future plans for InvEnt include the development of a series of engaging workshops for awardees and other interested members of the academic community at participating universities.

ELIGIBILITY

If you can answer Yes to all of the questions below, you are eligible to apply for the Avery Dennison Foundation's InvEnt Scholarship Program.

  1. Are you currently enrolled in your first year of studies at a participating university?
  2. Do you have high academic standing (top 25%)?
  3. Are you a citizen or long-term resident of China?
  4. Are you interested in invention and innovation in science and technology?
  5. Are you intending to major in science or technology, and are you considering a career related to technology?

Note: Children of Avery Dennison directors, officers, and employees are not eligible for this program.
