Western Hemisphere EducationUSA Adviser Training Program

Monday, September 28th – Friday, October 2nd, 2009
Hotel Presidente Intercontinental - Mexico City, Mexico

The Western Hemisphere EducationUSA Adviser Training Program will bring together over 100 advisers from the network of EducationUSA advising centers in Latin America & the Caribbean. This intensive, week-long training program is designed to strengthen the EducationUSA advising team and enhance the quality and portfolio of services provided to prospective international students and the U.S. higher education community.

Through generous sponsorship from the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs this event will provide opportunities to engage advising and admissions professionals in a variety of discussions designed to increase bilateral student mobility. We will discuss strategies on how to increase promotion of U.S. higher education by collaborating with U.S. colleges and universities; build more effective and efficient advising centers; and strengthen ties between EducationUSA Advising Centers and the U.S. higher education community.

The conference will take place in Mexico City, Mexico from Monday, September 28th through Friday, October 2nd, 2009. Participants are asked to arrive on Sunday, September 27th.
