Welcome to Study America Cultural and Professional Exchange Programs The Institute of International Education (IIE) is an independent nonprofit organization founded in 1919. IIE is among the world’s largest and most experienced international education and training organizations. We are committed to delivering program excellence to a diverse range of participants, sponsors and donors. Our mission is to promote understanding between the people of the United States and those of other countries. About 18,000 men and women from over 175 nations participate in IIE’s administered programs each year. IIE works hand-in-hand with educational and professional organizations across the United States and the world. The Study America program works in collaboration with universities, colleges, research institutions, private businesses and NGO's to sponsor individuals who teach, lecture, observe, consult and share their culture and professional expertise with their American colleagues as J-1 - Short-Term Scholars, Professors, Research Scholars, Trainees, Specialists, Students- Post-Secondary (College and University) and Teachers. |
