The University of Denver will study how civil society groups and community actors can affect corporate awareness and protection of human rights, in both internal business practices and social influence. The DU team will develop and apply a coding tool to identify and analyze patterns of civil resistance against corporate practices and the effectiveness of such techniques across industries and regions. Under the DFG-funded grant, DU will use their tool to generate findings from cases in Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, and South Africa
