Conference in Prague

Volunteering at Glides Memorial ChurchThe Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State is pleased to announce the Young Leaders Dialogue Conference in Prague, scheduled for November 6 - 12, 2010. Conference attendees will number 50 Americans and 150 Europeans, including the Europeans who participated in the February 2010 U.S. Study Tour.

The goal of the Prague Conference is to bring together the Young Leaders from Central Europe, the Baltic States, and the United States to continue dialogue on issues related to new challenges in transatlantic security, the environment and climate change, and tolerance and diversity.

The Young Leaders Dialogue Conference agenda comprises several opportunities for meaningful interaction and exchange. Conference participants will hear from keynote speakers, attend professional development workshops, and engage in cross-disciplinary panel discussions across the three dialogue themes.

To continue the impact of the dialogue, Conference participants will propose follow-on projects that include cross-disciplinary and transatlantic partnering.  A total of $90,000 will be available for distribution to the award-winning group projects for which the U.S. Department of State will consider partial and / or full funding.
