ASIA-HELP |
| In response to the 1998 Asian financial crisis, IIE launched the Asian Students in America Higher Education Loan Program (ASIA-HELP) with the generous support of the Freeman Foundation. ASIA-HELP has provided zero-interest loans to 1,000 students from South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia who were affected by the economic downturn in their home countries. ASIA-HELP’s financial assistance has allowed awardees to complete their education in the U.S. so that they may return home to rebuild their countries’ economies. |
