The Higher Education Readiness Program
The Institute of International Education’s Higher Education Readiness program (HER) provides young women in secondary school from underserved communities with a pathway to university. A new three-year pilot project in Ethiopia, HER will provide 100 girls entering the 11th grade with scholarship support combined with innovative leadership and life skills training to help them complete their secondary education and equip them with the tools needed to continue on to university.

Women Enhancing Technology is a consortium of dedicated partners that has joined IIE to design and support a series of innovative activities to provide training, build networks and offer professional opportunities.The consortium's goal is to enhance women’s talent and skills needed to fuel technological and economic growth.

Women's Enterprise for Sustainability (WES)
Women's Enterprise for Sustainability (WES) empowers women-led organizations in Tunisia to operate training centers as social enterprises. Through these centers, aspiring and established women entrepreneurs gain new skills and networks, launch and expand businesses, and develop as innovative leaders in their communities.

TechWomen empowers, connects, and supports the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East by providing them the access and opportunity needed to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and inspire women and girls in their communities.
Through mentorship and exchange, TechWomen strengthens participants' professional capacity, increases mutual understanding between key networks of professionals, and expands girls' interest in STEM careers by exposing them to female role models.
TechWomen is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA).
