Grant Activity: Teach courses in area of specialization. Advise on development of curricula for Russian colleges and universities. Share innovative pedagogy, including educational technology. Assist in development of new degree programs.

Specialization(s): TEFL methodology and teacher training; health care, including nursing (community, gerontology, social services, and in-service training), dental hygiene, and physical therapy; computer and information sciences; economics; business administration; energy sector and natural resource management; tourism and hotel management; human resource management; public administration; and adult/continuing education.

Additional Qualifications: Preference is for Ph.D.s. Open to M.A.s with a minimum of five years university-level teaching experience after completion of the degree.
|
|
Location: Grantees will be affiliated with institutions in Russia that are interested in the community college model.
|
|
Length of Grant: 3 months to 10 months
|
|
Starting Date: Fall semester 2010 or spring semester 2011 for one-semester grants; fall semester 2010 for academic year grants.
|
|
Comments: The purpose of this award is to offer opportunities for increased community college participation in the Fulbright program with Russia; to share knowledge in specific fields; to develop new curricula and introduce innovative pedagogy; to impart a global perspective into courses at colleges and universities in both countries and to assist student exchanges.
