Services

The largest in the Western Hemisphere, the Mexico City EducationUSA Advising Center actively promotes U.S. higher education while leading the region in innovative uses of technology for remote student advising and outreach, making new tools available throughout Spanish speaking Latin America. This office also hosts a Regional Educational Advising Coordinator, who works in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State to provide leadership in educational advising and exchange issues throughout Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.

IIE Mexico's Testing Department comprises two main areas: the CBT/IBT Test Center and the Paper-based testing office. Supervisors in the CBT/IBT Test Center carry-out high stakes exams, such as the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), TOEFL Internet-Based Test (iBT), and United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) among others, for candidates aspiring to perform graduate studies in the U.S. and other countries. The second testing area offers Paper-based exams, such as the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and the Institutional TOEFL exam, which is an objective and efficient internal measure of English ability at the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels in Mexican institutions.
