Arezoo has worked at the Institute of International Education since 2007, focusing on outreach and recruitment initiatives for corporate and government scholarship programs. Most recently, Arezoo oversaw programming for two State Department programs focusing on social empowerment in the Middle East and North Africa. Arezoo is originally from Chicago and moved to San Francisco to join the IIE team after completing her Master's Degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and her B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Arezoo also studied at The Sorbonne in Paris and Al-Akhawayn University in Ifrane. Prior to joining IIE, Arezoo interned for the United Nations and the U.S. State Department in Geneva, preparing for the World Summit on the Information Society. Her interests include women's empowerment, digital media strategy, and capacity building in the Middle East and North Africa region. Arezoo speaks French, Farsi and English and has studied Arabic for three years.
