Katka Letzing

Katka manages programs, conferences, community activities, workshops and events focusing on the professional exchanges in the San Francisco Bay Area. Katka has been involved with various State Department initiatives including projects  such as 100 Women ; Volunteerism: United We Serve, Edward R. Murrow Program for Journalists and African Women's Entrepreneurship Program. Since 2007, Katka has managed over 800 IVLP projects, bringing more than 5,000 international visitors to the Bay Area. In addition to the IVLP projects she has been involved with corporations, foundations, government agencies and has participated in designing study tours as well as professional programs such as Eisenhower Fellowships, Afghan Higher Education Exchanges Program and JIAM U.S. Study-tour Program. Prior to joining IIE, Katka led marketing projects at the Prague Tribune, a Czech and English-language business magazine. Additionally, she assisted with long-term projects as a researcher and interpreter for Dow Jones Newswires. Katka received the Award of Excellence for her contributions to the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program, citizen diplomacy, and the field of international exchange. Katka is originally from the Czech Republic with her second home in Lebanon and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and International Relations from ESMA Barcelona. She also studied in Spain as an Erasmus Exchange student.
