Global Scholarships are central to IIE San Francisco's mission to prepare a new generation of global citizens, and to be receptive to new ideas and the development of strategic partnerships both domestically and abroad. Through IIE's network of global offices, IIESF serves as a regional expert to many global scholarship programs, providing outreach services, recruiting selection panelists, establishing and facilitating independent scholarship review boards, and providing award recommendations based on a highly systematic and transparent process.
IIE San Francisco manages undergraduate and graduate level scholarship programs at accredited academic institutions throughout the world, coordinating cohorts of various size, from several participants to several thousand participants. IIESF works closely with sponsors to integrate program policies, design tailor-made reporting tools, monitor program achievements, and measure results.
An international scholarship program for which IIESF provides regional expertise is:

Continuing its tradition of excellence, the Fulbright Program serves as the flagship of international exchange programs. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Program’s mission is to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
For over six decades, the program has welcomed over 285,000 individuals from 155 different countries into the Fulbright family. Every year, more than 7,000 grantees are provided with the opportunity to study, research, or teach abroad. The Fulbright experience facilitates an invaluable exchange of ideas and invites grantees to develop joint strategies for solving global concerns.
The IIE San Francisco Fulbright Student Services team is dedicated to the Fulbright mission and to providing ongoing support to students. The team manages Fulbright programs for over 500 international graduate students and researchers, conducts informational sessions, and advises prospective U.S. grantees. The Fulbright team also carefully designs special cultural and social activities to engage all members of the Fulbright community in the diversity of American life, offering rewarding and culturally interconnected experiences.
