Q: What is the Baker Hughes Scholars Program?
A: Funded by the Baker Hughes Foundation and administered by the Institute of International Education (IIE), the Baker Hughes Scholars Program in Angola provides select students in engineering, science, petrochemical, and business related fields with an annual $5,000 scholarship towards the completion of their undergraduate degree.
Q: If I am a student majoring in the social sciences am I considered to be in a “science" related field?
A: No. Only students majoring in natural and applied sciences are eligible to apply. Social sciences majors such as psychology and sociology are not fields of study covered by the scholarship.
