What are the Hewlett Foundation Programs?

Hewlett Foundation programs include the Population Program, the Global Development Program, the Education Program as well as a special initiative of the Hewlett Foundation, the Demographic Dynamics for Development. The goal is to promote greater cross-regional learning and exchange among grantees working in diverse sectors and world regions.

Who would apply?

These programs are not open to applications by the general public. All participants in the Hewlett Foundation Travel and Learning Funds are recommended by the Hewlett Foundation.

Where are the programs held?

Program activities take place all over the world.

What is IIE's role?

IIE arranges travel, hotel accommodations, assists with securing visas, issues per diems and honorariums, and insures all travelers in the programs.

What is the Hewlett Foundation?

The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation has been making grants since 1967 to help solve social and environmental problems in the United States and around the world. The Foundation concentrates its resources on activities in education, the environment, global development, performing arts, philanthropy, and population, and provides grants to support disadvantaged communities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
