The University of Denver researchers are studying how civil society groups, community organizers, and other activists can influence corporate behavior related to the human rights of its employees. The DU team developed a coding tool to analyze patterns of civil resistance against corporate practices and the effectiveness of such techniques across industries and regions. This tool was piloted under the DFG grant in Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria, and South Africa.
