Georgia State University will study how the success of a peace process is influenced by the perceived legitimacy of transitional justice mechanisms, and how that legitimacy is influenced by a government’s international obligations regarding the design and management of the mechanisms. GSU will conduct two waves of surveys in Colombia to assess public perceptions of the fairness and legitimacy of transitional justice mechanisms and the relationship between those perceptions and social cohesion.
