The University of Virginia will study whether and how local leaders’ management of development projects affects their popularity, effectiveness, and ability to attract additional external resources to their communities. The University of Virginia will use a large dataset the researchers have built in studying the effectiveness of promotion and use of Waterguard, a water treatment tablet, at the village level in Uganda.
