The LOTUS Scholarship Program is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the support of the American people. The Program is managed by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in partnership with a consortium of Egyptian private universities and local organizations, which includes:
- The five partner universities – ACU, BUE, FUE, MSA, and PUA – will host the Lotus Students and are supporting the Program by cost-sharing a percentage of the tuition, housing and fees.
- AFS Egypt and Egyptian Association for Educational Resources (E-ERA) are supporting the outreach, recruitment and selection of students for the Program.
- Nahdet El Mahrousa will be engaged in the Leadership in Action and career counseling components of the Program.
