Ways of Giving

Stocks and Securities

"Without strong support for our young people and students, there is no real future."
—Henry Kaufman, Chairman Emeritus, IIE Board of Trustees
    President, Henry Kaufman & Co.

Your gift of stocks or securities to IIE may be arranged via electronic transfer or by receipt of stock certificates.

Your mutual fund shares that have appreciated in value may also be an excellent charitable gift. In most cases, mutual fund shares held in a brokerage account may be transferred directly to the Institute’s brokerage account. Please notify our office of your intent to make such a gift. We will be happy to assist you. Please call +1 212.984.5310.

If you have non-cash property, such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds, that are worth more than you paid for them and that you have held for more than one year, you may be able to enjoy greater tax savings from giving such property to a charity than from giving an equivalent amount of cash.

Please consult with your trusted financial representative or tax advisor to learn more about the specific benefits to you of gifting stocks and securities to IIE.
