Who Should Apply

The Award is open to any NGO, CBO or civil society organization actively operating in Trinidad and Tobago since January 2012. For the purposes of this Award an NGO is defined as a non-governmental organization that meets the following criteria:

  • Be registered with the respective authorities and government
  • Have a constitution or defined mission statement
  • Have a Board of Directors or executive committee that meets regularly
  • Have accurate financial records for the organization
  • Be independent from the government (e.g., Organization is not a government entity but can receive government funding)
