Managed the final cohort of Fellows for the Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program, which will have enabled over 4,300 underserved individuals throughout the world to receive graduate education since the program began in 2001.
Guided professionals and civil society leaders from around the world on 75 study tours to the U.S. through the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).The IVLP is the State Department's premier professional exchange program.
On behalf of the Qatar Foundation and in collaboration with the International Association of University Presidents, IIE led the WISE Program for Education Leadership to enhance leadership skills for new university presidents and emerging higher education leaders from developing countries.
Launched two new teacher training initiatives. The Brazil English Teachers Program, funded by the government of Brazil, will bring 1,080 teachers per year to the U.S. for intensive English language and teacher training. The Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program seeks to improve mutual understanding among teachers, their schools and communities in the U.S. and abroad.
