E. Michel Kruse is a retired banker. He was Speaker of the Executive Board of BHF-Bank AG and before that served as a Vice Chairman of The Chase Manhattan Corporation and as a Global Financial Services Executive. He began his career at Chase in 1971, and held various positions in Germany, Hong Kong, London and New York, including Chief Financial Officer and in 1995, Vice Chairman.
Mr. Kruse studied at F.U. Berlin and Stanford University. He received his M.B.A. in Finance from Hamburg University in 1971. He was elected to the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Education in 1994 and is currently Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee and a Member of the Executive Committee.
