The Institute of International Education (IIE) organized and convened the 2012 International Education Summit on the Occasion of the G8, entitled "International Education: A Global Economic Engine." The Summit brought together 50 high level delegates from 15 countries and the EU in Washington, DC on May 2 and 3.
The delegations involved in this year’s higher education summit represented Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Qatar, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
