Gala 2011

IIE presented the Stephen P. Duggan Award for Mutual Understanding to Thomas S. Johnson in recognition of his dedication to fostering understanding among people of different cultures, which he considers a central priority in his life.

The award was presented by Mark A. Angelson, Deputy Mayor of the City of Chicago and IIE Trustee.

IIE presented the Fritz Redlich Alumni Award to Dale Chihuly in recognition of his status as a Fulbright Alumnus and his distinguished career in creating art across many different cultures
