As a young boy, Lugano Sigalla was told by his father that his gift for explaining things clearly would make him a good teacher. He pursued teaching in his native Tanzania, so he could “have impact on many people and on the quality of life lived by those people.” Now, as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant, Lugano is sharing his Kiswahili language and culture with American students at Brown University and with school children in the Providence area.
