Mustafa Khattab, originally a farmer from a small village in the Nile Delta, visited churches and local communities to speak on “Misconceptions about Islam.” He came to the U.S. as a Visiting Fulbright Interfaith Scholar and spent a semester at Hartford Seminary, after getting his MA in Islamic Studies in Egypt, and has now returned to his university in Cairo to lecture in Islamic Studies. Interfaith dialog, as he sees it, “is about looking for the common ground among diverse peoples and among religions and worldviews.”
