The Institute of International
Education regrets to announce that the Spring 2009 competition
was the last in this generous grant sponsored by the Freeman
Foundation. Freeman-ASIA awards will not be available for
Summer 2009 and beyond.
We encourage you to consider other study
abroad funding opportunities administered by the Institute of
International Education, such as the Gilman
Scholarship and NSEP Boren Scholarship, as well as non-IIE
administered opportunities available through the IIEPassport
Study Abroad Funding online search engine.
These
resources and other scholarships, programs, and fact sheets for
students, can all be accessed through IIE's
study abroad portal.
Since 2001, the Freeman-ASIA program
has supported over 4,000 U.S. undergraduates to study abroad in East
and Southeast Asia and reached thousands more through alumni
outreach activities on campuses and in local
communities. |
