Planning, Policy and Management

 

Energy & Environmental Policy provides participants with in-depth understanding and analytical skills in energy and environmental policy and applies sustainable energy development principles and methods through the design of energy projects. The training is designed to create leadership in government, industry and NGOs that will promote sustainable energy development.

Project Management is for current and potential project managers. Course prepares participants of various experience levels for the process of leading a project from inception to successful completion. Topics include proposal preparation and project opening, organization, budgeting, planning and scheduling, monitoring, and control.

Project Management, Appraisal and Evaluation is for mid to upper-level management personnel who appraise, evaluate, recommend or approve projects or manage project implementation. Course provides participants with skills necessary for project success, including time and cost estimates for implementation and completion, markets for project output, governmental support for projects, business environment and project completion cycles and considerations. Acquiring a better understanding of project management issues, skills and techniques, participants will more effectively serve the goals and objectives of both their agency and the local region or country.
