The Energy Group has been developing and delivering U.S. based long courses in Energy and Environmental subject areas for over 18 years. IIE has a tried and true process for developing and delivering courses that meet the needs of the client. Each step of the process is carefully executed as Energy Group staff always keep in mind that any mistake is multiplied many times over when delivering a program to over 30 participants representing typically over 10 nations for each single course. The process begins with close communication with the client to determine the needs and objectives of the course and the target audience. Following this, our staff fall into a well-choreographed procedure which takes about 8 - 10 months. A brief overview includes the following: identification of the appropriate provider, development of the outline, course announcement and marketing, intensive selection process, careful review of all course materials as they are developed, opening ceremonies with notable officials, cultural orientation and cultural enrichment programs, logistical details such as travel, health insurance, lodging, taxes, bank accounts, etc for participants, monitoring of course progress, mid-course evaluation, final evaluation and awards ceremony, and follow-up impact assessments.
