Fulbright FLTA

Since 1968 the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program (FLTA) enables young educators to refine their teaching skills by serving primarily as teaching assistants in foreign language classes or in some cases, as primary instructors. FLTA's often lead conversation groups, attend language laboratories, coordinate extra-curricular activities and appear as guest speakers in cultural courses. FLTA's are outgoing and energetic representatives of their native cultures and have a sincere interest in teaching their native language to U.S. students. By participating in community events and campus activities, FLTA's increase their knowledge of American culture while sharing the values and customs of their own countries.
