IIE New Leaders Group & Award for Mutual Understanding
Comprised of extraordinary emerging leaders in diverse fields, the IIE New Leaders Group brings new vision, energy and ideas to the work of IIE by encouraging young leaders to actively advance global cooperation and promote mutual understanding. The IIE New Leaders Group Award annually recognizes the outstanding work of current Fulbright students who actively promote mutual understanding between the U.S. and another country. IIE will present this Award to Nathan Collett in recognition of his outstanding efforts to promote mutual understanding between the U.S. and Kenya.
Fulbright Program
Ambassadors, Nobel Prize recipients and CEOs are among those whose lives have been shaped by the Fulbright Program. Each year this program enables more than 5,000 people to study or teach in another country, exchange ideas and develop joint solutions to shared problems. IIE has administered the Fulbright Program on behalf of the U.S. Department of State since 1946.
Alumni Stamp Series
IIE is pleased to present the second in its Alumni Stamp Series to recognize outstanding alumni of an IIE-administered program. IIE will present the 2009 Alumni Stamp to Alberto Vitale, Former Chairman of Random House and Fulbright alumnus from Italy to the United States.
