About the USAID Sustainable Higher Education Research Alliances (USAID SHERA) Program

The USAID Sustainable Higher Education Research Alliances (USAID SHERA) is a 5-year university research partnership program between Indonesia and the U.S. that aims to increase the research capacity of the Indonesian higher education sector and improve the enabling environment for quality research within Indonesian higher education institutions.

What are the Centers for Collaborative Research?

CCRs are consortia of university partners that are comprised of one lead Indonesian higher education institution, one U.S. partner university and three affiliate Indonesian universities that will work together to conduct world-class research in focus areas critical to the country’s development, further enhance the capacity of top Indonesian scholars and promote knowledge sharing with universities and affiliate higher education institutions across the country.
