The USAID-funded Sustainable Higher Education Research Alliances (SHERA) program is a research collaboration and university partnerships program between Indonesia and the U.S. that aims to increase the research capacity of the Indonesian higher education sector and improve the enabling environment for quality research within Indonesian higher education institutions.

What are Centers for Collaborative Research?

Centers for Collaborative Research (CCRs) are consortia of Indonesian and U.S. university partners that work together to conduct world-class research in focus areas critical to the country’s development, further enhance the capacity of top Indonesian scholars and promote knowledge sharing with universities and affiliate higher education institutions across the country.

Who are the research consortia members?

The five Centers for Collaborative Research (CCRs) were launched in March 2016 and are comprised of top-tier Indonesian universities as lead members and affiliate university partners from U.S. and lower-tier Indonesian universities.
