Application Deadline: Fall Admission: April 1

Application Requirements: TOEFL PBT score of 600, IBT score of 100, IELTS score 7

Application Instructions:

Applicants must apply through the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) and have their transcripts certified through them. LSAC requires official transcripts be mailed directly from the home institution. If a student, could not complete this process RWU and LSAC would work to try and find a solution.

  1. Complete an RWU Law application online at www.lsac.org. The application fee can be waived by emailing admissions@rwu.edu to receive a fee waiver code. Submit a personal statement at the time of application.
  2. Submit an LSAT score.
  3. Complete the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Applicants who are citizens of a foreign country and whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), unless a baccalaureate degree from an accredited United States college or university has been awarded. When registering with TOEFL, use code 0058 for the “Law School Admissions Council JD” for inclusion in the JD CAS service. In limited cases, the School of Law will consider a Skype interview in lieu of a TOEFL score.
  4. Complete the JD Credential Assembly Service (CAS) through LSAC.org. Foreign transcripts received through JD CAS will be sent to the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) where the transcripts will be authenticated and analyzed. The data will be assembled into a foreign credential evaluation document that contains AACRAO’s summary, copies of the transcripts (and translations, as necessary), and a TOEFL score, if applicable. You must advise Educational Testing Service (ETS) to send your TOEFL score to LSAC (institution code number 0058). This foreign credential evaluation and its associated documents will be incorporated into the regular CAS report in both paper and electronic versions. Upon submission of a matriculation decision, the “original” foreign transcript(s) received by LSAC will be forwarded to the law school.
  5. One letter of recommendation, submitted through the LSAC CAS service, is required.
  6. A resume is required.

Any applicant to law school should avail themselves of the resources available at www.lsac.org. The site serves as the clearinghouse of all portions of your application to RWU Law. Additionally, more information about the RWU Law application process can be found at law.rwu.edu.
